It was an absolute pleasure to host a group of 25

It was an absolute pleasure to host a group of 25 passionate students from the Rural Self Employment Training Institute, Pune, who recently completed a 10-day beekeeping workshop at @vigyanashram , Pabal. On September 30th, they paid a visit at @agrorangers , and what an incredible experience it was!

During their visit, they had the opportunity to explore our agroforestry model and dive into the rich biodiversity it supports. It warmed our hearts to see their genuine enthusiasm and appreciation for the concept of our Deorai Forest.

What truly stood out was their perspective on how our activities align seamlessly with beekeeping. They recognized the potential of our ecosystem in providing a conducive environment for these incredible pollinators.

Their smiles and expressions of satisfaction after learning about our work were the best reward we could ask for. It's moments like these that fuel our passion for sustainable agriculture and conservation.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting Chitvan Chamadia and Priya Butola from @nsrcel_iimb at @agrorangers . As part of NSRCEL's Impact Orbit Cohort 2, we were thrilled to showcase our work on the ground and provide insights into our latest projects.

During their visit, Priya and Chitvan not only learned about our recent initiatives but also got their hands dirty by planting some saplings at our agroforestry plantation. It's always wonderful to have such enthusiastic supporters who understand the importance of sustainable agriculture.

We also had the opportunity to share a wholesome, organic meal with them at our farmer's house, where they got to experience firsthand the organic farming practices that drive our mission.

@agrorangers had the incredible privilege of hosting approximately 30 dynamic individuals from 12 countries, all of whom are this year's kanthari participants. Their primary objective? To immerse themselves in the world of agriculture and gain invaluable insights into the inner workings of @agrorangers .

Our esteemed foreign guests received a warm welcome from the Gram Panchayat of Dhamari village, where the Sarpanch of the village and numerous villagers were in attendance to extend their hospitality. The welcome ceremony was a true spectacle, with our guests donning traditional turbans and marching to the AGRO RANGERS office, accompanied by the exhilarating beat of drums.

During their visit, our distinguished guests had the opportunity to delve deep into AGRO RANGERS' remarkable journey and the impactful work that defines our organization. They also had the privilege of exploring our innovative agroforestry models, gaining firsthand experience of the sustainable practices we employ.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the delectable meal we shared, crafted from our organically grown produce. The Kanthari participants were effusive in their praise, describing their AGRO RANGERS experience as truly exceptional.

We take immense pride in being part of this enlightening exchange, fostering a global community deeply passionate about sustainable agriculture. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the @kantharis participants for their enthusiasm and to the Gram Panchayat of Dhamari village for their gracious hospitality.

🌿🌱 @agrorangers proudly participated in the prestigious 'Open House Exhibition,' organized by @vigyanashram on 30th July 2023 at Pabal. 🎉 The event marked the 20th memorial day of the visionary founder of @vigyanashram , Dr. S. S. Kalbag, and it provided us with an incredible opportunity to showcase our project 'Sahajeevan Dryland Agroforestry' to a diverse audience.

Throughout the day, we had the privilege of engaging with numerous enthusiastic visitors, including youth, students, farmers, and individuals passionate about environmental and technical projects. 🤝 It was heartwarming to witness their keen interest in learning about Agroforestry and understanding our work with small and marginal farmers.

Our stall became a hub of knowledge exchange, as visitors eagerly absorbed information about our intervention's goal to improve soil health and contribute to climate change mitigation. 🌿🌍 The positive feedback we received from the attendees was truly inspiring and motivating. 💪

We are deeply grateful for their encouraging words and good wishes as we continue on this journey of sustainability and environmental stewardship. At @agrorangers , we had the privilege of partnering with @thebanyantreesupporthouse to create an unforgettable agroforestry experience for 17 amazing girls from vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds! 🏡🌱

🌿 @thebanyantreesupporthouse provides a secure and nurturing environment to girls aged 6 to 18, fostering their growth and education. As part of our commitment to sustainability and self-sufficiency, we introduced them to the concept of building food forests for their own consumption and long-term sustainability. 🍏🍋🍅

Together, we planted a diverse range of more than 100 saplings, including Custard Apple, Gooseberry, Mango, Lemon, Orange, Sweet Lemon, Guava, Pomegranate, Sapota, Java Plum, and various medicinal native trees. 🌳🍋🍊 These trees will not only provide nutritious fruits but also contribute to a healthier ecosystem. 🍇🍈🍎

Additionally, we encouraged the girls to embrace intercropping by planting Tomato, Chilli, Brinjal, and nutrient-rich Leafy Vegetables like Spinach, Coriander, and Fenugreek amidst the fruit trees. 🍅🌶️🍆🍃 These diverse intercropping practices will maximize land usage and yield while promoting ecological balance.

To enhance soil fertility, we sowed Nitrogen-fixing seeds such as Black Beans, Green gram, Kidney Beans, and Black Gram. 🌱🌱🌱 These legumes will play a crucial role in replenishing the soil with essential nutrients, ensuring sustainable agriculture for years to come.

Witnessing the joy on the girls' faces as they planted these saplings and seeds was truly heartwarming. 🌱💚 We firmly believe that by imparting knowledge about agroforestry and sustainable practices, we are sowing the seeds of a greener and more prosperous future for both the environment and the community. 🌏🌿
